The Patron of the school is the Right Reverend, Dr. Paul Colton, Bishop of Cork, Cloyne and Ross.

The Board of Management is responsible for the running of the school, its upkeep and maintenance, as well as the appointment of staff and the provision of resources. 

 

St. Michael's Church of Ireland National School's Board of Management consists of the following eight members:

• Teacher's Nominee: Laura McSweeney

• Parent Nominees

• Treasurer: Margaret O'Sullivan​

From among these (usually one of the Patron’s Nominee), the Bishop, as Patron appoints the Chairperson.
